FAQ Short Answers vs Long Guides: When to Open Each Guide Type
Use FAQ to find the direction, then use guides for system, app, and input-field details.
Direct answer: Use FAQ for quick answers; open install, switching, candidate, or source-check guides by symptom. Treat FAQ as a routing hub instead of one article with every step.
1 FAQ is for fast direction, not every detail
The FAQ helps users identify the category of a Translation Input Method issue. Detailed system settings, input switching, and candidate display usually belong in guides.
The strength of an FAQ is speed. You can quickly see whether the issue is about install, usage, privacy, or troubleshooting. Its limit is also speed: a short answer should not contain a full platform walkthrough.
If you already know the symptom, such as cannot switch after install or candidate window missing in one app, move into the matching guide instead of rereading every FAQ item.
2 Choose by symptom, not by directory order
After reading the FAQ, identify the symptom. Typing works but translation is blank? Use blank-output troubleshooting. Only one app fails? Use the specific-app guide. First run stuck? Use the network checklist.
This is faster than reading the entire guide index from top to bottom. The site now has many guides, and directory order may lead you into systems that do not apply to your setup.
3 When to contact the team
If the FAQ and related guide do not cover your situation, use the contact page. Include platform, current version, target app, whether the issue happens only in one field, and which guides you already checked.
Avoid sending sensitive text. If a neutral short sentence reproduces the issue, describe it that way.

FAQ
What if the FAQ does not fully solve my issue?
Use the FAQ as a routing point. If the issue involves setup, switching, candidates, shortcuts, source verification, or platform permissions, open the matching guide.
How is this different from the new-user reading order article?
The reading-order article explains the overall site path. This article focuses on the boundary between short FAQ answers and detailed troubleshooting guides.
Can I use only the FAQ?
For basic questions, yes. For system-specific, app-specific, text-field, or reproducible issues, a guide is usually more useful.
Check the current download page before setup
If you are ready to install or update, return to the download page and verify the current public version, platform notes, and on-site release information.
